Up for sale is a 1972 Mercury Cougar XR7. The car has been garage kept by the previous owner since he has had it.(early eighties) The car has a 351 cleveland 2v that was rebuilt about 25000 miles ago. It was converted to a edekbrock 4v manifold and carb. Has electroic ignition and dual exhaust with glass placks. Car is an A/C car and the A/C system is installed and works.(does not blow very cold)Trans is an FMX that has a shift kit installed. Car has one repaint in a brownish gold (was originally gold glow) and is great shape for its age. Only a couple of minor dings and scratches. Interior is a saddle color and is great shape. the carpet was replaced and the dash pad had a tan cover sewen over it. The full vinyl top was replaced with a tan top and is great shape. The car has had the fuel systems and coolant system flushed. The only rust on the car is two small holes in the trunk along with some pitting. Treated part of the trunk with POR-15 and left the rest untreated. Car comes with all maintenance records and registration papers from 1984 till present. The wheels are 14 inch gold enkis. Car runs and drives great. I have two 1972 cougars and decided to part ways with one of them. The other cougar is for sale locally and this auction can end at anytime. This cougar has personalized place that I will sign over to a buyer in Ca. If sold out of state I will keep the plates and reassign them to my other cougar.
